A post graduate in Economics and Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS), Mumbai. Starting his carrier in 1960, he worked in Steel, Fertilizers, Aeronautics and Electrical distribution manufacturing industries till 1998. His last two assignments were as Director (Personnel & Administration), Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd and President (Personnel), Crompton Greaves Ltd.
Currently Honorary Advisor, PHD Chamber; Fellow & Advisor, World Academy of Productivity Science (WAPS); Member Academic Council, EMPI Business School; Member, Governing Body, Jagannath International Management School; Member of Executive Council, Employees Federation of India (EFI); and All India Organisation of Employers (AIOE).
He has represented Indian Employers on the Ramanujam Committee, Committee for Sick Industries of Engineering Industries. He was member CII National Committee on IR & TQM and also member of SCOPE Governing Council.
His areas of specialization are Organisation Structure, OD interventions including Organisational climate survey, Managing change in Organisations, Personal Development, Carrier Planning, Performance Appraisal, Total Quality Management, Kaizen, Small Group Activities, etc.
